It will star I Hate Suzie's Leila Farzad, Broadchurch's Andrew Buchan, Peaky Blinder's Samuel Edward-Cook and many more well known faces.

Filming for Better recently took place at Cannon Mills in Lidget Green.

The broadcaster describes the series as "one woman’s epic battle towards redemption, to reclaim the honour and honesty she handed over to a man many years ago".

The reason for filming remains a secret.

The Crown

Just days later, separate film crews arrived for the filming of hit Netflix show, The Crown.

City centre streets in Little Germany were taken back in time to 1990s Moscow as set designers added Russian signs to buildings and replaced street signs with Russian name plates.

Roads near Forster Square were closed and props including shop signs, posters, a telephone box and a car were brought in to mimic 1990s Russia.

The cast and crew were filming for the fifth series of the multi-award winning show, due to air at the end of the year.

This section of The Crown follows the Queen and Prince Philip, as the royal couple pay a visit to Moscow.

The series will star Imelda Staunton as the Queen, Lesley Manville as  Princess Margaret and Elizabeth Debicki plays the role of Diana, Princess of Wales.

At the end of March, ITV soap Emmerdale was spotted filming next to Bradford's oldest Beerhouse, Jacobs Well.

The show set up base in Kent Street and filmed in the nearby underpass. Although it is not known what scenes were filmed at the location, it is understood paramedics were involved in some way.

"Actors have been coming in and enjoying a drink after filming," Jacobs Well landlord Daniel Horsman said at the time.

ITV drama Project M - 'The Hunt for Raoul Moat'

In the same month, an estate in Allerton was turned into a film set for ITV's three-part drama known then as Project M.

It has now been revealed that the footage will be used in a factual drama called 'The Hunt for Raoul Moat'.

Newcastle bouncer Moat, 37, killed his love rival Chris Brown, 29, in Birtley, Gateshead, in July 2010, then blasted his former lover Samantha Stobbart, leaving her in a critical condition.

The next night he shot and blinded unarmed PC David Rathband, who was sitting in a patrol car. PC Rathband later took his own life.

TV documentary

In May, Apperley Bridge residents became curious after film crew vans parked up in The George and Dragon pub car park.

One resident, who had been watching filming, noticed a couple of older cars, a Volvo and a Vauxhall Cavalier.

Rumours suggested it was for a TV documentary series about a missing woman in the 1990s.

Speaking to the Telegraph & Argus at the time, David Wilson - director of Bradford UNESCO City of Film - said: "There are a number of really high-quality TV dramas filming across West Yorkshire at the moment.

"Judging by the number of enquiries we are dealing with at the Bradford Film Office, this trend is set to continue for some time to come, bringing more work opportunities to the area and eventually more screen tourism opportunities when the shows finally make it onto TV or into the cinema.”
