A MAN has been banned from a Bradford shopping centre after stealing at least £275 worth of clothes from a store.
Silvester Balaz, 29, of Buttershaw Drive, Bradford, faced two charges of theft from a shop and one of failing to answer to court/police bail as soon as practicable.
In the first offence, he stole men’s clothing, to the value of £275, belonging to H&M in Bradford. It took place on April 13, 2022.
Balaz was excluded from entering The Broadway shopping centre in Bradford for six months. He was also given a community order which includes a curfew requirement for 10 weeks, to run each day between 7pm and 7am with electronic monitoring. He was also ordere to pay £275 compensation for this charge.
The community order and Broadway exclusion also covered a further two charges he faced.
Balaz was also convicted of stealing clothes, to an unknown value, from H&M in Bradford on June 6, 2022.
He was also also sentenced for a charge of failing to answer to court/police bail as soon as practicable. This offence took place on July 20, 2022.
Balaz pleaded guilty to all three charges and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on August 3, 2022.
