FIVE people have been arrested after a male was injured in an assault and "taken" from a street.
Police were called to Lonsdale Street, Barkerend, at around 11.45pm on Friday "following a call reporting a male had been assaulted and taken from the location," said a spokesperson.
They added: "Following police enquiries two males and three females were arrested on suspicion of offences including assault and remain in police custody for questioning.
"The male victim of the assault received hospital treatment for non-life threatening injuries."
