Plans to “reinstate the gravitas” of a listed 17th Century building have been submitted to Bradford Council.
Number 9 Little Lane in East Morton is Grade II listed, but has been altered a number of times in its lengthy lifetime – including in the 20th Century when it was split into flats.
A new application by James and Amy Morgan calls for the property to be refurbished, with “unsatisfactory arrangement of spaces” that came from the 20th Century works removed.
The building will be repaired, restored and energy saving insulation will be added if the new plans are approved.

The application says: “The development seeks to replace the poor quality post-1970s alterations with enhancements and repair which will require only minor works to the original building fabric. “The access into and around the building will be greatly improved, as well as improved thermal performance and its use as a family home.”
A decision is expected in October.
