A MAN has avoided jail after being charged with stealing two bottles of wine from a Bradford district supermarket and assault.
Graham Toulson, 37, of Leeds Road, Shipley, was committed to prison for five months, suspended for 12 months, for stealing two bottles of wine, of an unknown value, from the Shipley Aldi store on February 7 this year.
He was also fined £50, ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Toulson was also received a five-month concurrent prison concurrent, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to £100 compensation for assaulting a man by beating him in Bradford. That offence was also committed on February 7.
He pleaded guilty to both charges when he was sentenced at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on July 6.
