THE patron saint of woolcombers will be celebrated at a family event in Bradford Industrial Museum on Sunday.
The Summer Blaise Wool Festival, the annual celebration of Bishop Blaise, is part of Bradford Woolly Heritage CIC’s Bishop Blaise’s Long Woolly Fringe Festival.
Running from 11am to 4pm at the Moorside Mills museum, the event will see stall at the museum along with live performances including Hall Royd Brass Band and exhibitions and demonstrations from the Bradford Guild of Spinners, Weavers & Dyers.
Bishop Blaise himself will be telling the story of how thousands used to celebrate his feast day every February.
A pop up baaaah at the museum will serve Bradford’s Salamander Brewery’s special Blaise Ale.
Admission to the event is free.
