TWO men have been arrested after a cannabis farm was discovered in the Tyersal area of Bradford.

West Yorkshire Police was called out at 12.31am on Monday (August 1) to reports of an ongoing burglary at a commercial property on Dick Lane

It led to a large cannabis farm being uncovered inside the building. 

Police officers detained two men after making enquiries at the scene.

The pair were later arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of cannabis.

The men remain in police custody at this time. 

The force called out Northern Powergrid to make the premises safe.

Crime scene investigators could be seen moving in and out of the property throughout the morning as they gathered evidence.

Northern Powergrid was also liaising with police officers at the scene. 

Several vehicles were parked on Dick Lane, including a police van, CSI van, police car and utilities vehicles.

Enquiries are ongoing, police said. 

The full statement from West Yorkshire Police said: "At 12.31am today (Monday), police received a report of an ongoing burglary at commercial premises in Dick Lane, Bradford. 

"Officers attended and found a large cannabis farm inside the building.
Two males were detained following enquiries at the scene and Northern Powergrid were contacted to make the premises safe.

"The males were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of cannabis and remain in custody at this time. 

"Enquiries are ongoing."
