Rag ‘n’ Bone Man and The Libertines at Bingley Weekender

Bingley Weekender is a three-day event packed full of top acts in the town. This is the first time the festival has been held in three years due to the pandemic.

Taking place between Friday, August 5 and Sunday, August 7 at Bradford and Bingley Sports Club, it will include the likes of Embrace, Shed Seven and Peter Hook & The Light.

Friday night’s action will be headlined by Rag ‘n’ Bone playing their hits include ‘Human’ and ‘Giant’.

The first night’s bill also features a homecoming for Embrace, as some of the Indie band’s members come from the Bradford district. Classic tracks from Joy Division and New Order can be expected among Peter Hook and The Light’s set on Friday.

The Night Café, Red Rum Club, Ryan McMullan and Bang Bang Romeo will also perform on Friday.

Meanwhile, Saturday’s night’s line-up will be headlined by The Libertines. The band, led by singer Pete Doherty, will play a selection of their hits including ‘Don’t Look Back Into The Sun'. They are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album 'Up The Bracket'.

Shed Seven will also take to the Bingley stage as part of Saturday’s line-up. The York-formed band will perform their festival-friendly hits such as ‘Chasing Rainbows’, ‘Disco Down’ and ‘Getting Better’.

The K’s, Beans on Toast and Andrew Cushin are among Saturday’s bill.

Pixies will wrap up the action as headliners on Sunday, August 7

The festival will wrap up on Sunday with indie legends Pixies headlining. They have just released 'Human Crime', their first single in two years.

Tickets are available for all three separate dates as well as full weekend tickets, priced £129, alongside flexible payment plans, camping options, full parking and an exclusive VIP area. Entrance is free for children under the age of five.

Other notable names set to perform at Bingley Weekender 2022 include The Amazons - one of the UK’s largest indie-rock breakthrough acts of the last few years. They will take to the stage on Sunday.

The first Bingley Weekender festival was held in 2019 to fill the void left by Bingley Music Live, when, after weeks of speculation, Bradford Council announced it would not be running that year.

The Council said at the time that it had taken a “difficult decision” to scrap the event, which was due to be held in Myrtle Park.
