A MAN has been sentenced in court after being caught using a mobile phone while driving at a fast food restaurant in Bradford.
Joshua Thompson, 25, of Coniston Avenue, Queensbury, Bradford, faced one charge of using a handheld mobile phone/device while driving a motor vehicle on a road – endorsable offence.
He drove a motor vehicle on a road, namely McDonald’s, Five Lane Ends, Bradford, when he was using a hand-held mobile telephone. This offence took place on January 21 this year.
Thompson was handed six driving licence points, fined £220, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for the offence. A collection order was also made by the court at the sentencing hearing.
He was sentenced at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on July 14, 2022.
