A BRADFORD school celebrated South Asian Heritage Month with a family fun day this week.
Iqra Academy, on Drummond Road, hosted a family fun day on Tuesday to celebrate South Asian Heritage Month.
"We wanted to bring the wider community in and let them celebrate their heritage with our students," said teacher Victoria Austick, who co-organised the event with her colleague Joanne Cory.
"The day was about everything South Asian, and there were 35 stalls by parents, students and community members selling clothing and food to raise money for Islamic Relief."
Punjabi Roots, a Bradford-based music education hub, also attended and performed Bhagora dancing and dhol drumming.
Miss Cory said: "The children and the staff were very excited to celebrate the culture and our Iqraness - what makes us Iqra.
"We wanted the community, our children and staff to enjoy being back together to how the school used to be before Covid."
