A MAN remains in police custody following the death of a woman in Baildon.
The 27-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder after West Yorkshire Police was notified by Yorkshire Ambulance Service on Sunday morning that they had been called to a concern for safety at Aire Way, Baildon, and were treating an injured woman.
She was taken to hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The woman has been named locally as Lauren Howe.
Floral tributes have been left at the scene in Baildon.
A GoFundMe page has also been launched in memory of Ms Howe. This online fundraising page has been set up to help pay for funeral costs.
Detective Superintendent Emma Winfield, of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, previously said: “A woman has tragically lost her life and our thoughts are with her family and friends and those who knew her at this truly awful time.
“We are conducting extensive enquiries to understand the circumstances of what has taken place and would urge anyone that can assist us in this investigation to please make contact.”
