TV presenter Jonathan Ross stopped by popular café while filming for his next Channel 4 project.
The presenter could be seen filming throughout Haworth’s iconic cobbled streets before tucking into lunch at Cobbles & Clay on Main Street.
Café chef Kyle told the Telegraph & Argus: “One of his agents phoned in and booked a table.
“They came in and had lunch, he took a few pictures with some of the staff.
“Some customers were fangirling over him.
“It was really nice to see him.”
The broadcaster chose the sweet potato hash with avocado, feta and poached egg.
Sharing a photo of café owner Jill Ross with the presenter on social media, staff joked: “When Ross met Ross.
“What a lovely surprise today for us all in the café! Thanks for joining us.”
Pet portrait artist Amy Mckimm was at the café for lunch and a drawing retreat when she noticed the comedian walking up the street.
It came just days after she met The Great Pottery Throw Down’s Keith Brymer Jones at the same café.
“I’ve just started doing retreats for people that want to come on holiday to Haworth,” Amy said.
“Part of the package is we do some drawing together and have lunches and stuff like that. We were just having lunch at one o’ clock and we turned around and saw all these people staring at the cobbles. We saw him walking up Main Street.
“We were just sat upstairs doing our drawing and he walked past, said hello and came to see what we were doing.
“He was really nice, just like he is on the telly.
“As part of this retreat package that I do I teach ladies to draw. In this case we were drawing a dog’s paw and he said, ‘Oh hello, what are we doing over here?’.
“I had some of my portraits on the table, just before he left he put his autograph on one of the drawings.
“Someone said it [the filming] was something to do with the Brontes.
“He had all his filming crew with him upstairs at Cobbles and Clay. Everyone kept rushing up to get pictures with him. It was a different waitress each time, bringing him something else. They were all taking turns to get to go up and meet him.”
