Pupils at two Bradford schools will benefit from a pioneering scheme to promote electronics to young people.

They will have the chance to participate in practical demonstrations and learn about electronics first-hand from tutors when Electronics Yorkshire's Mobile Training Unit (MTU) visits Parkside School at Cullingworth and Belle Vue Boys' School in Bradford.

The visits are part of Electronics Yorkshire's award- winning Educational Out-reach Programme', which is designed to stimulate interest in electronics at an early age and ensure a bright future for the industry within the Yorkshire and Humber region.

The MTU includes the latest electronics training equipment and caters for teaching groups of up to ten people.

Peter Burnley, training and technology centre manager at Electronics Yorkshire, said: We believe it is vital to develop awareness in engineering at an early age and look forward to introducing young people to the exciting world of electronics. Our award-winning programme is proving a huge success with students and teachers across the whole region."
