PEOPLE are being urged to be vigilant after a car was smashed on the main road through a Bradford estate.
It happened on Broadstone Way in Holme Wood and a mobile phone and stereo were taken from a vehicle.
Police have warned people to ensure their cars are locked and valuables are not left inside.
In a community alert, West Yorkshire Police said: "Between 7am and 9am on July 12 unknown person(s) smashed the nearside front window of a car parked locked and secure on Broadstone Way, BD4.
"A mobile phone and a stereo were stolen. No suspects seen."
The alert added: "Please double check your vehicle is locked and there is nothing valuable left inside.
"Also ensure that you do not leave your car unattended while the key is in the ignition."
