BRADFORD City manager Mark Hughes has been kitted out for the new season by a local tailoring firm.
The former Wales player and manager had his first suit fitting from IK Collections, based in Westgate, before the club’s 2-0 friendly victory over Sunderland at Valley Parade.
Hughes has chosen a navy blue-coloured suit from the company. It will include the Bradford City club logo on the breast pocket of the jacket and feature a number of Bantams club logos on the jacket’s inside lining.
The Bantams boss is set to wear his new suit in the dugout for his club’s matches, home and away, during the new League Two season, which kicks off for City with a home clash with Doncaster Rovers on Saturday, July 30.
Mr Khan says he has enjoyed meeting Hughes and says he loved the new suit which was designed for him.
Hughes is a high-profile name in football having played for clubs including Manchester United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
He took over as Bantams boss last February having previously only been in charge of Premier League clubs including Manchester City, Fulham and Southampton.
As well as the manager, a host of other Bradford City executives are also set to have suits made by IK Collections.
Mr Khan went to the first fitting of Mr Hughes’ suit at Valley Parade alongside co-worker Raymond Lister.
Mr Khan said: “He looked really good in the suit. He is going to wear the suit for Bradford City games.
“We will be finishing it off this week. Mark Hughes is one of the nicest people you could meet. He was so down to earth. The suit fitted him perfectly.
“He is making big things happen in Bradford. They are very welcoming people at the club.
“We had the first fitting before the friendly this week. The club badge on the suit jacket’s breast pocket is going to be navy too.
“Raymond Lister was so happy to make the suit for, and meet, Mark.”
The City boss becomes the latest high-profile name to have a suit made by IK Collections, following the likes of Captain Sir Tom Moore, former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn and Dancing On Ice judge Christopher Dean.
IK Collections is also making a pair of suits for another sporting great. Former Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram has been measured up for his suits by Mr Khan at his home in Cheshire.
