A BRADFORD woman has been fined for being equipped for theft from a shop in Bradford city centre.
Donna Marie Rogers, 47, of Landmark House, Broadway, Bradford, was found with two gift bags lined with foil in JD Sports in Forster Square on May 11, 2022.
She was using these bags for theft or in connection to a theft from a shop.
A Community Order was made which the defendant had to comply with for a month, namely attend appointments with the officer or participate in any activity required by the officer for a maximum period of 25 days.
A Collection Order was made and she was made to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £95 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
In total, she was fined £180, which will be deducted from her benefits and must be paid by July 20, 2022.
The gift bags lined with foil were forfeited and destroyed.
The defendant's guilty plea was taken into consideration when imposing the sentence.
