DINERS can grab a colourful treat at a Bradford restaurant – a pink kebab.
German Doner Kebab has launched Coco & Kiki, which are the UK’s first pink kebabs.
Served in fluffy pink coconut-infused waffle bread, the kebabs come in two different sizes (Coco and Kiki) and are combined with a regular kebab featuring doner meats, fresh lettuce, tomato, onion and red cabbage.
The pink kebab is available at the restaurant based at the Xchange on Charles Street, near The Broadway, plus all the firm’s branches nationwide.
Customers will be able to get their hands on the new regular-sized Coco kebab for £6.99 and the smaller-sized Kiki kebab for £3.
The Coco & Kiki kebabs are available for dine-in, takeaway at all GDK restaurants and for delivery from August.
Freshly prepared in front of customers, the quirky kebabs are made using premium, lean meats and fresh vegetables, served in handmade toasted breads with signature sauces.
Saqib Gill, German Doner Kebab Bradford manager, says the brightly-coloured dishes are already proving popular with diners since they launched on July 11.
He said: “The pink kebab is doing OK for us this week.
“It has coconut in it. There are different flavours in it. It uses slightly softer bread than usual.”
