PEOPLE from Bradford have been given the chance to take to the waterways and own a barge.
The ‘Nola Grace’ is a 56ft long and 12ft.6 wide Dutch Barge which is a live aboard boat that has been in the same ownership for 11 years on a residential mooring in Rodley, Leeds, on the Leeds Liverpool Canal.
The sale is due to the owner’s ill health and was built by XRandD boat builders, Newark in 2007.
The barge is up for sale for £149,885 and is being advertised on Facebook Marketplace.
Here are a few more details about the barge: “The exterior of the boat has been maintained well.
“It is ideal and comfortable live aboard, with an open plan kitchen, cosy living room space, a single bedroom opposite the bathroom, and a double bedroom at the bowes.
“She has excellent headroom throughout, good storage space and is light and airy thanks to the skylight windows and hatches.
“The bathroom includes a full shower, sink and flushable toilet with holding tank.
“The kitchen comes complete with a four-ring gas stove and oven, a shoreline low energy fridge and an automatic washing machine.
“The living room has a mounted TV. The sale includes these appliances.
“Nola Grace comes complete with a full oil fired central heating system in addition to a multi-fuel burner.”
