BRADFORD could see record temperatures of 35C next week, according to the Met Office.

Sunday will see the start of a three-day amber extreme warning in place across the UK, including Bradford, as temperatures are set to rise to a high of 28C in the city.

Monday will see another rise as the heat is expected to hit 31C before a huge 35C on a cloudy and overcast Tuesday.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Temperatures are also set to remain high overnight, particularly in urban areas, with a high likelihood of tropical nights – when minimum temperatures don’t drop below 20°C – for some early next week.

An amber extreme heat warning is an impact-based warning designed to highlight impacts to protect lives, property and infrastructure

The extreme heat warning means population-wide adverse health effects are likely to be experienced and delays and road closures can be expected.

Today it is set to be warm but cloudy with a high of 19C in Bradford, while tomorrow temperatures could climb to 24C.
