A MAN has been banned for drink driving on a major Bradford district road.
Luke Thompson, 28, of Hornsea Burton Road, Hornsea, East Riding of Yorkshire, faced one charge of driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level was above the limit.
He drove a motor vehicle on Sir Fred Hoyle Way/Bingley Bypass, Bingley, on May 15, 2022, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath, namely 55 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
Thompson was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 40 months.
He was handed a community order, including an alcohol treatment requirement and carry out 120 hours unpaid work in the community over the next 12 months.
Thompson was ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
He pleaded guilty and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on July 6, 2022.
