A BRADFORD teenager has tragically died after suffering a head injury while walking in the Lakes.

On Sunday, the male is said to have fallen 30 to 40 metres from Intermediate Gulley on Dow Crag and was using the gulley as a descent route.
Emergency services recovered a body of a 15-year-old male from the Bradford area, police have confirmed.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
Emergency services were called to Dow Crag near Coniston on Sunday after a climber suffered a head injury.
Coniston Mountain Rescue Team attended the incident and dispatched two Land Rovers to the scene.
Cumbria Police received a call at 5pm requesting assistance as a 15-year-old male member of a walking group was unaccounted for at Dow Crag.
HM Coastguard helicopter Rescue 936 was already overhead Dow Crag and winched the casualty on board.
A spokesman for Coniston Mountain Rescue Team said they were called by Cumbria Police about a climber with a head injury at Dow Crag around 4pm.
The team expressed their sincere condolences to the young man’s family and friends.
He said: “Any incident of this type is extremely sad, and heartbreaking for all involved, and we would urge people of all ages to treat the hills and crags with respect.
“We would like to express our sincere condolences to the young man’s family and friends.”
Another stranded walker was met at the top of the climbers’ descent and was escorted down by mountain rescue crews.
