A MAN has been banned from driving after being caught speeding on a major Bradford district road.
Waqas Riaz, 32, of Woodhall Park Mount, Stanningley, Pudsey, appeared in court on one charge of exceeding 50mph speed limit in contravention of a local traffic order – manned equipment.
He was clocked at 81mph in a 50mph zone of Sir Fred Hoyle Way/Bingley Relief Road, on March 21, 2021.
Riaz was disqualified from holding, or obtaining, a driving licence for six months for this offence. The disqualification was obligatory due to repeat offending.
He was also fined £692, ordered to pay £110 costs and a £69 victim surcharge for this one speeding offence.
Riaz pleaded guilty and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on July 1, 2022.
