Police have ended their two week long search for missing Somaiya Begum with tragedy, arrests and a murder charge.
The 20-year-old was last seen at her home on Binnie Street on Saturday, June 25, at 2pm and reported missing 24 hours later.
Despite appeals, there had been no confirmed sightings or contact from her.
Officers can now officially confirm that the body discovered on Fitzwilliam Street on July 6 was Somaiya Begum.

June 25, 2022
Somaiya Begum, 20, was last seen at her home address on Binnie Street in Barkerend on Saturday, June 25, at approximately 2pm.
There have been no confirmed sightings or contact from her since this point.
Officers reveal they are treating her disappearance as unexplained.
June 29, 2022
West Yorkshire Police made a number of arrests in connection with the disappearance.
A major operation takes place at an industrial site on Thornbury Road, later linked by the force to the missing person case.
A cordon and a forensics tent is put in place.
One man who works in the area said: "It's really shocking, there's a lot of people who work in the area who have been scared.”
Officers also remain in Binnie Street, Barkerend, where two police cars can be seen parked outside a house and up a side alley.
June 30, 2022
In the next update from police, a spokesperson says two men and one woman have been bailed from custody pending further enquiries.
Another man remains in police custody, police said.
The Telegraph & Argus understands a third address, on Harewood Street, is also a focus of their investigation as five police vehicles were spotted there this afternoon.
Detective Chief Inspector Marc Bowes, of West Yorkshire Police, said: “Over the past couple of days there have been extensive police enquiries across Bradford to find Somaiya.
“We are extremely concerned for Somaiya’s welfare.
“Specialist search officers, Neighbourhood police patrols, drones, and dogs have all been used in the investigation.
“Officers continue to trawl CCTV, conduct house to house enquiries and have spoken to several people in the area.”
July 1, 2022
Police release a video appeal as the search for Somaiya continues.
Detective Chief Inspector Marc Bowes urges people to come forward to help the police.
He adds: “I'd also like to appeal directly to Somaiya, if she's watching this appeal, please get in contact in whichever way you feel most suitable."
July 2, 2022
The site of the police investigation on Thornbury Road has been cleared and the cordon is lifted.
One unit owner told the T&A: "The police left the site at around 7pm last night and we got access to our containers."
A man who was arrested in connection with the disappearance is bailed.
July 6, 2022
A body is discovered within a heavily-industrialised suburb on the edge of Bradford city centre, heading out towards Bowling.
According to local accounts, West Yorkshire Police arrived around 6.30pm on Wednesday night but “nothing was happening at that point”.
He added: “The tent went up about half 8. I'm surprised - you don't expect it at all, it's been a bit of a shock."
A 52-year-old man was re-arrested on suspicion of murder.

Businesses around Fitzwilliam Street – not far from Mill Lane railway junction on the approach to Bradford Interchange – speak of their shock.
Police activity intensifies throughout the day.
The scene of Wednesday’s awful discovery lies within a heavily industrialised area home to businesses including engineering firms, car repair garages and building supply companies.
One worker said: “I just got here this morning and saw it all, it's a shock if there is anything there.”
Police scenes are in place at an industrial estate on Thornbury Road in Laisterdyke and on Binnie Street, Barkerend, where Somaiya was last seen.
July 8, 2022
Detectives have charged a man with the murder of Bradford's Somaiya Begum after her body was identified.
Mohammed Taroos Khan, 52, of Thornbury Road, has been remanded into custody to appear at Bradford Magistrates Court tomorrow (Saturday, July 9).
An 81-year-old woman who was arrested in connection with the 20-year-old's death has been released on police bail.
