A DRIVER was caught speeding at 76mph in a 30mph zone near Leeds Bradford Airport.
Earlier this week, police set out to tackle speeding on Pool Bank New Road and the surrounding roads.
11 speeding tickets were issued, along with tickets for using a handheld device while driving (x2), not wearing a seatbelt, having no insurance, having no MOT and having a dangerous defect (a broken windscreen).
A spokesperson added: "We got assistance from Roads Policing Officers to tackle speeding on Pool Bank New Road and the surrounding roads, which have been requested by residents for monitoring on a number of occasions.
"In total, 11 speeding tickets were issued, with the highest speed being 76mph in a 30mph zone. That person will be going straight to court."
