A Bradford woman who leads a double life as a dementia carer and influencer has been nominated for a blogger award.
Shannon Palmer – known for her slimming recipes, culture reviews and lifestyle posts – is followed by more than 51,000 people on Instagram.
Taking followers on the journey through her life, the food blogger reveals insights into her job as an end of life and dementia carer at Springfield Care Home and being a step mum.
Shannon, originally from West Bowling and now living in Shelf, is up for Food Blogger Of The Year in the Yorkshire Blogger Awards (YBA).
The winner will be announced on September 29, 2022, during a special ceremony at Left Bank, Leeds.
Shannon, who also works as a social media manager for Bradford’s Tickles Music Hall, said: “I can’t believe how big it has got over the last couple of years. I have achieved a lot for 29.
“I cannot believe I have been nominated, let alone shortlisted to the final five. I have everything crossed going forward and hope the luck is on my side on the evening.”
YBA founder Kim Smith added: “Our panel of expert judges have come up with some incredible shortlists.
“We wish the best of luck to all those who’ve been shortlisted.”
