A cafe at the 'top of town' is set to host a day filled with events to celebrate smashing its £20,000 fundraising target.
Bread + Roses, in North Parade, is hosting an event called Fight For Bread and is welcoming everyone who has supported the community café in its bid to stay open, with a packed day of entertainment.
There will be music and poetry on the day as well as B + R Zine with Bradical Press and mono-printing sessions.
The event will be held on July 9 from 11am till late and donations are encouraged on the day. Attendees are free to pay whatever they can upon entry and donations made online will be matched by the National Emergencies Trust.
So far £24,479 has been raised with the target stretched to £40,000 after the initial target was reached in just under a week.
