Baildon Church of England Primary School is now the 18th academy to join Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust (BDAT).
It is hoped the academy conversion will allow the school’s “vision and values [to] align closely with those of the trust”.
Katie Savage, head teacher at Baildon Church of England Primary School, said: “This is an exciting next step for our school community.
“Our vision and values align closely with those of the trust and we know that our school will continue to flourish within the BDAT family.”
BDAT chief executive Carol Dewhurst said: “We are delighted to formally welcome Baildon staff, students and parents in to the BDAT family.
“Having worked closely together for a number of years we know how much Baildon will bring to our family of schools and also recognise what we can bring to strengthen the school. Long may the partnership continue.”
