A MAN was taken to hospital after it was reported that he had been assaulted on a Bradford road this afternoon.
The ambulance service told police about the incident, which took place on Southfield Lane - near the junction with Haycliffe Road - in Canterbury at around 2pm.
The man suffered a head injury, so he was taken to hospital.
Traffic delays were caused in the area where the emergency services attended.
A spokesperson from the force said: "At 1.54pm today (Thursday), police received a report from the ambulance service that a male had been assaulted in Southfield Lane, Bradford.
"Officers attended and found a man with a head injury.
"He was taken to hospital for further treatment.
"Enquiries are continuing at the scene."
