A MAN has appeared in court over taking a VW Golf without the owner’s consent.
Kyle Palmer, 29, who is currently serving a prison sentence in HMP Wealstun in Wetherby, pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking and vehicle damage.
The incident took place in Bradford on June 20, 2021.
Appearing before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on June 22, Palmer was jailed for a eight weeks in total for the offence.
The charges outlined how Palmer took a VW Golf without the owner’s consent and that damage was caused to the vehicle before it was recovered.
The sentence will be serviced concurrently to Palmer’s existing jail term.
He must also pay a surcharge of £128 to fund victim services.
He was also disqualified from driving for 24 months.
