Two creative businesses based in Bradford district have come together to launch book club style events.
TYRO Studios, based in Shipley, and publishers Fox & Windmill are behind the sell-out ‘Books & Bakes’ events - a space to read books, discuss ideas and discover local authors.
Fox & Windmill co-founder Habiba Desai said: “We are delighted to join TYRO Studios in this exciting book club, it has always been something that myself and Sara [Razzaq] have discussed since creating Fox & Windmill.
“We wanted to create a safe and enjoyable space to read books and have discussions.
“The response to the book club has been phenomenal and we're looking forward to seeing it become a regular event.”
The first event will see Bradford’s Sairish Hussain, author of The Family Tree, drop by for a Q&A session.
It comes just weeks after TYRO Studios – owned by Yvonne Aboagye and Israel Hobson – first opened in Shipley.
Yvonne said: “We are really proud of the achievements of Fox & Windmill and it’s an honour to be able to partner with them on this project.
“We really hope people enjoy the chance to make new friends and find new ways to connect with each other.”
