A BRADFORD councillor has reassured residents that "there are no wider concerns for the community" amid an intense police investigation of a scene at Thornbury Road today.
A major police operation is underway with a cordon and a forensic tent in place in the car park of an industrial building opposite the Islamic Cultural and Educational Association mosque on Thornbury Road.
Cllr Zafar Iqbal (Lab, Bradford Moor) has expressed his concern for residents in the wider Bradford Moor and Bowling and Barkerened area while the police presence continues.
He said: "There are no wider concerns for the community, as residents will see an increased policing presence in the area.
"These will be neighbourhood officers deployed to reassure and engage with the community."
