A MAN has appeared in court charged with travelling at more than 100mph on a major Bradford road.
Mohammed Mazar, 36, of Rook Street, Nelson, Lancashire, faced one charge of exceeding a 50mph speed limit in contravention of a local traffic order – manned equipment.
He was clocked driving at a speed of 105mph on Sir Fred Hoyle Way, namely the Bingley bypass, at a speed exceeding 50mph limit. This offence took place on July 7, 2021.
Mazar was handed six driving licence points, fined £234 and ordered to pay £110 costs and a £34 victim surcharge. A collection order was made by the court.
He pleaded guilty to the charge he faced and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on June 14, 2022.
