A MAN has appeared in court over an assault at a city centre pub and causing damage to a police car.
Juma Abdulla Adam, 19, of Easby Road, Bradford, was handed a community order for a number of offences.
In the first offence, assault by beating, he assaulted a man in Wetherspoons, in Centenary Square, Bradford, on June 15, 2022.
He faced a charge of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000. Here, without lawful excuse, Adam caused £100 of damage to a police car at Trafalgar House Police Station, in Nelson Street, Bradford, on June 15, 2022.
In a burglary other than dwelling – theft charge, Adam, having entered a building, namely Wetherspoons, as a trespasser, stole three bottles of Famous Grouse and one bottle of Southern Comfort, to the value of £49.76, from the pub. This offence also took place on June 15, 2022. He was also ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge.
Under the terms of the community order,. Adam was ordered to carry out 130 hours unpaid work in the community over the next 12 months.
Adam pleaded guilty to all of the charges and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on June 17, 2022.
