A 20-year-old man appeared in court after he was caught with a knuckle duster at a train station.
Kian Crowley, 20, of Oakworth House, Malmesbury Close, Holme Wood, appeared before Lincoln Magistrates’ Court to be sentenced.
He was charged with the possession of an offensive weapon – a knuckle duster – in a public place.
The offence happened on March 7 this year at Lincoln rail station.
He entered a guilty plea on June 15 and was fined £180, ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
He also pleaded guilty to the possession of cannabis/cannabis resin on the same day at the station, for which there was no separate penalty.
Both the knuckle duster and cannabis will be forfeited and destroyed.
The £299 will be paid at a rate of £20 per month, beginning on June 30.
