A MAN has been fined for stealing more than £450 worth of toys from a Bradford shop.
Marek Tokar, 27, of Wilkinson Terrace, Bradford, appeared in court on one charge of theft – other – including theft by finding.
He stole a selection of toys, worth a total of £456.87, from Smyths Toy Superstore, The Peel Centre, Canal Road, Bradford. The offence took place on January 29, 2022 and was contrary to the Theft Act 1968.
Tokar was fined £337 and ordered to pay £100 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £34 victim surcharge for the offence.
He pleaded not guilty at a previous hearing which he subsequently changed to guilty.
An application was made for deductions from Tokar’s benefits.
Tokar was sentenced at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court on June 20, 2022.
