A TEENAGER appeared in court charged with the assault by beating of two males in The Broadway shopping centre.
Mohammed Siraj Qazi, 19, of Iqbal Court, in the Leeds Road area, appeared before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court to be sentenced.
He faced two charges of assault by beating and both offences happened on December 6 last year in the shopping centre.
Qazi initially denied the offences, but then changed his pleas to guilty on May 24.
He received a 12-month conditional discharge.
The court also ordered him to pay compensation of £200, as well as a victim surcharge of £22.
He must also pay costs of £250 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
The balance of £472 will be paid at £80 per month, with payments beginning on June 21.
