A NEW primetime BBC five-part TV series centred on Bradford is set to air tonight.
'Bradford on Duty' will air on our screens from 9-10pm on BBC Two with the remaining episodes airing over the next four weeks.
The programme follows the district's nurses, police officers and council workers, offering a unique insight into the UK’s youngest and most entrepreneurial city.

With wide-ranging access to the city’s public services, Bradford on Duty focuses on the people dedicated to making their city a better place – from the frontline workers patrolling the streets all the way up to the leaders making strategic decisions in the City Hall.
With life expectancy more than ten years lower in the inner city than in the more affluent areas of Bradford, and respiratory disease a leading cause of early death, episode one follows community matrons, Julia and Sandra, who visit patients where the impact of the poor air quality is evident.
After visiting a mother and daughter with breathing difficulties, Julia is visibly upset.
Meanwhile, Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) Kiran and Matt describe working in neighbourhoods where people seem to shrug off living next door to houses that have been converted into cannabis farms.
If you are unable to watch tonight, Bradford on Duty will be available on BBC iPlayer.
