A BRADFORD man has been banned after being caught drink driving.
Mohammed Iqbal, 23, of Bingley Road, appeared in court on a charge of driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above the limit.
He was caught driving on Sir Fred Hoyle Way, Keighley, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath, namely 40 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit. This offence took place on May 3, 2022.
Iqbal was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months for the charge. This disqualification will be reduced by 13 weeks if, by December 22, 23022, he has satisfactorily completed a course approved by the Secretary of State.
He was also fined £184 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for the charge.
Iqbal pleaded guilty when he was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on May 25, 2022.
Meanwhile, Iqbal was earlier handed four licence points and fined £440 after appearing in court for speeding on Toller Lane, Bradford, on December 17, 2021.
Iqbal was sentenced for this speeding offence when he appeared at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on May 9, 2022.
