Residents were evacuated from a high-rise building in Bradford tonight after a fire broke out.
Crews from five fire stations were scrambled to the scene on Bolton Road, Bradford, shortly after 6pm.
They arrived to find a blaze in the basement of the high-rise residential block.
A fire service spokesperson said: " The fire involved two cars and caused smoke logging to the majority of floors of the property.
"Crews used eight breathing apparatus, two hose reels and one large jet.
"Crews also used four high powered fans to clear smoke from the affected floors. All residents evacuated the premise safely."
Crews from Bradford, Fairweather Green, Shipley, Stanningley and Cleckheaton attended the incident, while an aerial appliance was also at the scene.
