A FIRE at a converted mill broke out in the early hours of the morning.
Firefighters from across West Yorkshire were scrambled to the scene, on Grattan Road in Bradford at around 4.20am.
A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said the fire was on the top floor of the three-storey mill building, which is out on the outskirts of the city centre.
Three large jets have been used, along with a hose reel and aerial appliance.
In an update just after 7am, the spokesperson said: "3 storey building measuring 30 x 25m. Building is a converted mill of multiple use.
"Fire on top floor 100% involved. 3 Large jets, 1 hose reel, 1 aerial in use.
"Fire is now surrounded and 5 pumps currently remain in attendance."
Firefighters from Bradford, Fairweather Green, Shipley, Odsal, Cleckheaton, Stanningley, Bingley, Illingworth, Rawdon, Halifax, Dewsbury, Leeds, Wakefield and Pontefract have all been in attendance.
A section of Grattan Road remains cordoned off.
