A BRADFORD doctor says it is really worrying that two million people in the UK are suffering from long Covid.
Dr Amir Khan says the statistics shows that Covid has not gone away but long Covid is difficult to diagnose and people need to have a number of tests before it is proven.
He says women are more likely to suffer from long Covid and waiting times for people with the condition can be months or a year.

Around 3.1 per cent of the British population are suffering symptoms persisting for more than four weeks after catching Covid-19, according to new ONS estimates.
Some 376,000 people who first caught Covid-19 around the start of the pandemic have reported symptoms lasting at least two years.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain on June 2, Dr Amir said: “It’s really worrying. It just goes to show that this disease, as much as we pretend that it no longer exists, does exist and we are still seeing it very high numbers.
“It’s really difficult to diagnose. People are waiting months and a year before they are being seen.
“Every day in my clinic I see two or three patients who present with symptoms of long Covid.
“It’s really, really tough for these people.”
