A BRADFORD firm has been selected to feature in a special commemorative book to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Packaging firm Advanced Dynamics, based on Staithgate Lane, has been named a patron of Her Majesty The Queen: The Official Platinum Jubilee Commemorative Album through its association with the Armed Forces Covenant.

Managing Director Tom Smith and Executive Chairman Malcolm Little will be heading to London for an exclusive launch event at Claridge’s Hotel today.

The album charts the trials and triumphs of The Queen’s 70-year reign.

Mr Little said: “For our Queen to be celebrating her 70th Jubilee is a phenomenal achievement - a feat that I anticipate will never be matched.

“The Queen took over at such a young age and to still be serving as she is, is truly astonishing. That is something that is absolutely worth celebrating.

“On a business level, for Advanced Dynamics to feature in this 70th Jubilee commemorative album is an honour. It speaks about how we handle the business and what our values are.”

Mr Little spoke of the firm’s excitement to be at the launch event.

"It’s going to be quite surreal, to be honest,” he said.

“We are an SME from Bradford. We’re not a business that is renowned nationally.

“To be involved in something like that, I think it’s something that myself and Tom will enjoy a great deal and it will fill us with enormous pride to be able to represent Advanced Dynamics.

“I have stayed at Claridge’s before. It’s a beautiful hotel, one with very close links to the royal family. It’s going to be a big day for us.”

The Platinum Jubilee is being embraced by the company with a range of events and activities for the business planned.

Mr Little added: “Advanced Dynamics, as a company, is one that likes to celebrate the good things, the good times. That’s how we feel about the Queen’s Jubilee.

“From my perspective, I firmly believe that this company has grown up around my beliefs and attitudes.

“There’s a family feel around this business. I’ve always tried to create that. For us to be able to celebrate this Jubilee and for me to be able to share that with this group of people is special.

"We’re hosting a family-fun day and we haven’t called it as such because our colleagues can bring their families along - they can - but more because I see them as my family.”
