A TOWN centre building will undergo a refurbishment to make vacant units more “flexible” to future tenants.
Thomas Duggan House in the centre of Shipley currently has two prominent, vacant business units on its ground floor.
Both the former TSB bank and the former Redheadz hairdressers were based in the building.
Redheadz recently moved to another unit on Kirkgate, while the TSB branch closure was announced in 2019.
Derelict Shipley building to become accommodation for adults with disabilities after plans approved
A planning application calling for new windows and doorways at the two units was submitted to Bradford Council by Shipley Properties earlier this year.
Those plans have now been approved, with planning officers saying: “The changes to the ground floor will result in a greater degree of flexibility to the internal space which should assist in making the ground floor more attractive to future tenants thereby supporting the local economy.”
