PRIME Minister Boris Johnson has sent his congratulations to Bradford after it clinched the title of City of Culture 2025.
There were jubilant scenes in City Park this evening as the momentous moment was broadcast live on BBC's The One Show.

The Prime Minister wrote on Twitter: "Congratulations to the city of Bradford on becoming the UK’s City of Culture for 2025.

Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries said Bradford “thoroughly deserved” being named as the UK City of Culture 2025.
She tweeted: “So delighted for @bradford2025 and a joy to announce them as the next UK City of Culture tonight!
“Thoroughly deserved and great news for this brilliant city.
“This IS your time to show off your rich history, diverse community and extraordinary people.”
