AN ARREST was made after a vehicle was stopped by police in Keighley last night.
A “significant amount” of both drugs and cash were found after the vehicle was stopped in the Keighley Central ward, as police acted on intelligence.
The drugs and cash were seized and the driver was arrested for possession with intent to supply a controlled drug.
West Yorkshire Police said: “Our work to combat drug dealing and organised crime in the Keighley area continues on a daily basis, utilising a range of tactics, including our daily intelligence-led proactive patrols.
“Last night in the Keighley Central Ward, as a result of these intelligence-led deployments by Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team Officers, another stop of a vehicle led to a stop search and arrest for drugs offences.
“Our work continues daily to combat drug dealing and associated organised crime.
“As you will appreciate, we can’t post about a lot of our work, investigations or arrests [on social media], due to the nature of the investigations, intelligence and tactics involved, but this doesn’t mean that these patrols, arrests and investigations aren’t ongoing.”
