SOMEONE rang the 999 emergency line...because their Uber Eats takeaway delivery had not arrived.
West Yorkshire Police's Contact Management Centre shared details of the call to highlight the importance of using 999 for emergency calls only.
The team often tweets some of the more unusual phone calls they receive from the general public.

In its latest example, the team said: "999 call complaining that when they order from @ubereats_uk, the food never comes..... Not a police matter. At all. #Not999 #NotAPoliceMatter.”
Previous 999 calls have included someone calling 999 to ask them to book some driving lessons for them.
Others included a boy who said they had lost their shoe playing football.
Another called to say their knickers had been stolen from their washing line.
