A BRADFORD man appeared in court charged with two counts of assault at a city shopping centre.
Mohammed Qazi, 19, of Iqbal Court, has been convicted of two offences of assault by beating.
In the first offence, he assaulted a man by beating him at Bradford's Broadway shopping centre on December 6, 2021.
Qazi was handed a 12-month conditional discharge, but was ordered to pay £100 compensation, £250 costs and a £22 victim surcharge.
For the second charge, he assaulted another man by beating him, also at The Broadway, on December 6, 2021. He was ordered to pay £100 compensation.
Qazi pleaded guilty to both offences after initially pleading not guilty at an earlier hearing.
He was sentenced at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on May 24, 2022.
