RESIDENTS in Bradford have been given a last-minute reminder to sign up and save money for a monthly garden waste collection service.
Bradford Council’s service runs from June 1, 2022 to May 31, 2023. It collects items including hedge clippings, grass cuttings, garden plants, leaves, twigs and small branches.
The annual charge is £37 until May 31 with an early bird discount, and it will rise to £44 after that date.
There will be no collections after December 23, 2022, for four weeks. Collections start again on January 24, 2023.
People who sign up will get 12 collections, one every four weeks and residents will need a valid bin sticker for each brown bin that they want to empty.
Anyone who needs an extra brown bin, this will cost £22 per year. Bins without a garden waste sticker will not be emptied.
Residents who wish to subscribe to the service will need a credit or debit card to make a payment online or over the phone.
