A BRADFORD woman has appeared in court charged with assaulting a police officer.
Chantell Deacon, 42, of Pemberton Drive, was given a community order for two offences.
In the first charge, common assault of an emergency worker, Deacon assaulted an emergency worker, namely a police officer, acting in the exercise of her functions as such a worker. This offence took place at Victoria Road, Bradford, on March 25, 2022.
Deacon was also ordered to pay £50 compensation for this offence.
In the second charge, Deacon was re-sentenced under the same community order, for stealing various household items, worth £40.45, from Home Bargains, Forster Square, Bradford, on July 26, 2021.
Deacon pleaded guilty to both charges and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on May 18, 2022.
