A CYCLIST was injured in a crash on a road near a busy junction in Bradford this morning.
The police and ambulance service were scrambled to the scene of the crash on Bolton Road near the junction with Queens Road.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "We were called at 7.35am by the ambulance service to a report of a vehicle in collision with a cyclist.
"The cyclist has been taken to hospital with leg injuries."
A spokesperson from Yorkshire Ambulance Serrvice added: "We were called to the scene on Bolton Road at 7.32am today.
"We sent a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance to the scene.
"One patient was conveyed to Leeds General Infirmary."
Although full details of how the crash occurred are unclear, an ambulance was in the middle of the junction while police directed traffic.
Cars could not travel through Bolton Road going towards the city centre as police restricted access.
There were large queues of traffic near the junction.
